We design innovative precast solutions for reliable water infrastructure, from pipelines to treatment facilities, ensuring safe and resilient water supply systems.

Introduction

East Rockingham WWTP Tanks

Permacast supplied a range of specialised precast concrete components for the East Rockingham Wastewater Treatment Plant (ERWWTP), demonstrating our capability in delivering complex, large-scale infrastructure solutions. The scope included 176 curved tank panels and 16 buttress panels, each designed and manufactured to precise specifications to ensure watertight performance and long-term durability.

This project showcased the intricate logistics, advanced engineering, and rigorous quality control required to meet tight construction schedules and achieve seamless on-site assembly. Through precision manufacturing and expert coordination, Permacast’s products played a key role in the successful delivery of this critical wastewater treatment facility, supporting the development of reliable and sustainable water infrastructure for the region.

Introduction

Southern Seawater Desalination Plant Stage 1 & 2

Permacast played a key role in the development of Western Australia’s Southern Seawater Desalination Plant, a major infrastructure project delivering up to 50 gigalitres of potable water annually, with the capacity to expand to 100 gigalitres.
For Stage 1, we manufactured, delivered, and installed over 1,035 precast façade panels using S50 low-heat concrete, designed for a 100-year lifespan. With production of up to 200 m² per day and storage for over 450 panels, we supplied a total of 18,000 m² of panels (8,000 tonnes) on time and on budget.
In Stage 2, we supplied additional precast façade walls and underground electrical tunnels, including 60 inverted box culverts and 100 precast covers, using purpose-built steel moulds to meet project requirements.
This project demonstrates Permacast’s expertise in durable, large-scale precast solutions for critical water infrastructure.
